Writing 1: Conventional and Alternative Medicine

 

This page contains scans of some of Dominique's writing. As we're working on to prepare her for the Cambridge proficiency exam she has done an essay similar to one she might get in the exam. In order to improve her writing we're doing some progressive drafts, changing and correcting the work to improve it. The first draft was done at The British Council and marked by a teacher there. For the second draft Dominique has hand written it (as she will have to do in the exam) and we have discussed it. The underlined parts and corrections in blue represent "surface corrections" and issues that I think she should work on in her own proofreading. The numbers circled in red are more complex issues and I have attached sound files of my comments to these numbers (just click on the number to hear them). The audio comments are intentionally "spontaneous" (not scripted) to provide some additional authentic listening practice.
